2025 SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE

A Special Meeting of the Bond Madison Water Company will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bond Madison Water Company Office, 103 Park Street, Pocahontas. The purpose of the meeting will be to conduct a vote to allow Bond Madison Water Company to borrow additional funds from the Illinois EPA Public Water Supply Loan Program. Previously, at the 2021 BMWC Annual Meeting, the membership approved IEPA funding of $ 2.5 Million Dollars. This project consists of painting Shawnee Road water tower, new S.C.A.D.A. control system, and approximately 12.5 miles of water main being installed south of Mulberry Grove and two other locations in Bond County. Bids for this project were opened and reviewed on April 10, 2025. Bids were higher than estimated.
The resolution to be voted upon is as follows:
“Resolution to authorize the Bond Madison Water Company to enter into a loan agreement with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for a loan amount of up to $3.2 million.”
This will be a very brief meeting. We must have 1% of our membership or twenty-seven (27) contract holders in attendance to fulfill a quorum and conduct a vote at this Special Meeting. Please visit www.bondmadison.com for updates.
